In order to functionalize and make more effective service delivery from Community Clinic USAID’s INCA has formed Community Nutrition Support Groups (CNSGs) from active members of Community Groups and Community Support Group of the community clinics. The USAID’s INCA is providing orientation and on job training on nutrition to the CNSG. The CNSG acts as a bridge between CCs, other health facilities and the community. CNSG member assists CNP to conduct courtyard sessions, quarterly nutrition day observation and monthly household visits in their respective area. They also work with project staff to host events around Global Breastfeeding Week and Global Hand Washing Day and participate in other related events organized by the government to promote total community engagement in the project. CNSG also promotes the establishment and use of tippy tap with soap in schools and homes along with CNP.
